to dyno or not to dyno

I recently acquried a 406 sbc that runs on e85 and just had a cabr built for it, instead of paying 300+ dollars to throw it on the dyno, do you guys think I should try and tune it myself or pay the guy that built the carb do it?! Does 80 an hour sound reasonable on the dyno with tuning?
