New fuel pump installed

After all the good tips y'all gave me , I ended up doing it the old fashioned way . Yanked off the old line and shoved the new plugged line on . Worked OK , kinda messy . The 3/8-16X 2" bolt worked good to hold the fuel pump rod . I did pull the bottom rad hose to have more room to work . Time to change hoses anyway . I've had this old '69 C-10 almost 30 years . Can't remember ever changing the fuel pump . Just thought I'd let y'all know and THANKS for all the good info .
