New to the board, and livein' in Omaha

Hi I'm new to the board. And i'm in love with 67-72 chevys. I have a 69 chevy short box. I'm currently working on fixing some of the previous owners attempts at customization. Like the cut and heated springs and all the wiring problems. such as the right front headlight that is wired in with some 12 gauge house wire. not to mention the wiring under the dash that's hanging bare. Plus the little problem with the park lights. Turn them on, blow the fuse. I've traced about 20 miles worth of wire, and replaced the taillight harness and the harness from the firewall to the taillights, and no luck. They needed replaced anyway they had a few bad spots. My next step is to try tracing more wires and find the short. If anyone has any advice feel free to chime in. Oh and by the way, anyone from around the Omaha Nebraska area, what's up?!
