We all have to be Newbies sometime!

Hey everyone, Just stopping in to sat hi and introduce myself.

I'm Eric... From Forest Grove, OR.... I like Chevy's, But not the newer crap.

I drive a '89 Suburban with 3/4 ton axles and 34" tires as my family rig. I love this truck. When I got it in December 2008 it had a 10 bolt front & rear ends with 3.42 gears.... Now it has a 3/4 ton Dana 44 in the front and a 14 bolt FF in the rear. I was told 4.10's, but haven't checked yet. Also went from 32"-34" tires.

I also just bought a '70 C-10 2wd rust bucket with a 6 cylinder and TH350 trans for a work truck. I've always wanted a truck this body style... even though it's a beater just watch what happens in the next 6 months. Not gunna be a show stopper, but a solid trustworthy work truck.

I'll figure out if I can post pics later.......

I have alot of wrenching experience, but not professional. I have worked alot for people on the side. I am one of those shadetree guys in a way. I do make sure to research every project as much as I can. I try to get all the info I can and not just listen to my friend who "made it work". I like to get it done right. That's why I'm here. All of my projects have turned out well so far... From shoe string dime store primered "restored" trucks to full blown really nice possibly show quality daily drivers.

My projects that will be coming up will mostly be for the '70... Just doing the very least to get it reliable and safe... I don't care about the rust, but a cheepo body job may be in order. I will soon be replacing the th350 that is in it and rebuilding one for the first time. I will also completely rewire it with a newer style fuse box and heavy duty wires. I've already designed my own harness, just gotta work out the the small details. Otherwise ,I'm just gunna keep her running. Well maybe a mild 350 conversion in the future.
