leaf to coil change over

Well i finally got the box pulled off the truck and grabbed a few of the brackets off the old truck....humm no exisiting holes to bolt them two. The holes are in the cross member for the trailing arms , and the only other holes that i see that i can reference off are for the coil spring cup . Is this normal? I also see that i have some stiffening ribs stamped into the frame that are not on any of the coil spring frames i see on here (right beside the spring hangers).I'm also thinking of doing a "c" notch now while i'm torn down..Any body have any pics i can get my points off of? And while i'm at it....i'm thinking of doing the holes through the cross members for my exhaust, should i use a tube ( 3-1/2 ) and weld it in place or fill the pie cut section then cut my holes...or just cut the 3 inch hole and pass the exhaust through that...Thanks
