Help
I was doing some research on my truck to find out just exactly how rare it is but some things just arent matching up. heres what im talking about.
KE141J605244 KE10734 Its a Short Box regular cab 4x4 cheyenne with the factory 4 speed SM 465 transmission and 3.07 gears in the rear end. http://outintheshop.com/vin_decode.html That vin decoder states that its for 67-72 chevy trucks but has no J indicater for the jamesville plant in that picture, however under the GMC trucks it lists the J, probably just website error but thats the first odd thing i noticed. Also on that same page in the Model Decoder it states that is a 67 to 72 model decoder and says my truck is a 4x4 V8 1/2 ton with cab to axel of 42 - 47inches and its a fleetside. now move on to this page: http://outintheshop.com/prodnum.html Under the production numbers i search to find KE10734 The only two places that shows up is in 1968 and 1969 not 1971. Which my VIN Number clearly states that its a 1971 made and the janesville plant. http://www.americanclassic.com/paint.htm?p1=vin Any help would be much appreciated. |
