Replacing my tired 283ci

Just got a older 350ci with 1:90/2:02 heads and flat top pistons on it.
Going to do a fresh rebuild. I have 3:08 gears on my 69 longbed with 15x10s in the back. Asking the members here for ideas on a build. Going for some mild to stout performance, but also want to be able to drive it everyday if I want or need to.
