You who have completely rebuilt your rigs!

I am needing someone who had installed their doors and done extensive restoration work to their blazers. I am trying to get the drivers door installed and don't believe it is possible with the geometry I have now. I did the pass door myself and it turned out ok but the more I adjust, the more I get to feeling that something else is out of kilter. I have included pics for the picture junkies (I am too). I reinstalled new body mounts earlier on, and rebuilt the door hinges, could be part of my problem. The body man 50 years experience replaced the outside rockers , small piece of floor on this very little rust vehicle. See the pics. I can't seem to get it adjusted so that the bottom seam is strait AND it does not touch the rocker with the door corner at the front edge. I am asking this...I have 4 shims under the front drivers side floor body mount and one under the body mount nearest the B pillar. This was exactly as I found it and replaced exactly. I think I need to remove the 4 shims on the front mount. Are these shims for adjusting the doors or are they mostly for alignment of the top to the body? When we replaced the rockers, we did so with the new body mounts inplace because the old ones were toast and we had the top on and bolted down to hold everthing in place while the cutting and welding was going on. I know that you guys say to have patience but I did have this question for those of you who have had the cutting torch in your own hands so please help me out and tell me everyting is going to be ok, and the sun will come out tomorrow, and the world will have peace, and Obama will now ruin the country...oh sorry, I got carried away.
