Baggin the rear on my 66 ???

I tore the bed off my truck today so I could start on my rear step notch... So my question with the rear air ride setup is I see guys air out and laying sheet metal using the rear stock control arms with bags. Is there a issue with binding going that route? I was thinking of going this route....  So anyone laying sheet metal on here with the stock suspension in the rear with a step notch? Thanks for any input or info....... six5.....
