yup I did the 5 spd, a getrag, from a 90 chev half ton. you don't need a high hump, I have my 327 in the 6 position, its tight but it works. ya the hyd clutch is a pain but works great once its in. I'm gettin used to drivin with no speedo too! hehe, ya I'll have to do something about that eventually. From the truck make sure you get, clutch master, slave, hose, pushrod, clutch arm, flywheel cover, Shifter!, tranny yoke, mount, drain plugs. nab the plugs for the electrical stuff too, you might get an elec speedo sometime. I got a decent price on mine but it was pretty well stripped! that sucks rounding up all sorts of little crap. Also, most newer trannys take a different type of oil too, not just plain old gear lube, the dealer will know. its not expensive. Good luck!
