ran it out of gas, runs different

Well while driving today my truck started bogging and sputtering and would barely hold 15 mph. I pulled into my moms work to see what was up and it died right there. I'm an idiot, as I tried cranking it again and it would run but only with lots of throttle and it sounded like it was running on 2 cyclinders. I did this a couple more times before I realized what was wrong. Out of gas! Durrhh..So I went and filled up the tank in my moms truck and got it running again after some pumping. Seems fine now except it seems like I have to give it more throttle to get going. All of this after I was complaining in my other thread about not having enough power! Lol so I know its not good to run it out of gas, I thought I could make it..but what do you thinks up? Clogged fuel filter maybe? Or worse? hope not..I dont really know where the fuel filter is on this thing..its got a new crate 350 in it, heres a pic of what I think is the filter, the small silver thing?, I know the big one is the fuel pump. How do I go about changing it out? Just take the clamps off and pop in a new one? Thanks..I need to learn how to work on this thing..
