What color to paint engine accessories?
So I have the engine out of the truck right now and as such, it would be a good time to clean it up and put a better color on it. The block and water pump are going be painted red to match the red in the valve covers. But, I struggling with what color to paint the accessories without going overboard. No powdercoating here, we're talking rattlecan.
Do I paint it all red? (brackets, alternator, power steering pump, and pulleys)...this may be too much red Do I do everything in red except for the pulleys? Do I paint the brackets red since they could be considered an extension of the block and paint everything else black? Do I paint it all black? (brackets, alternator, power steering pump, and pulleys) Here's a pic of the engine before I set it on fire:
