Re: Its a long way to the top, if you want to rock & roll
Update:
I am going to purchase a complete front suspension crossmember (minus sway bar) out of a 79 chevy 1/2 ton truck. Going Disk/5lug! From my previous post, Sway bars and 295's are still not on the truck. I'm going to hold onto the tires until I get some 5lug wheels for them. The sway bars are not going on until I am set on the height. I'm trying to keep this on a budget so any direction would be much appricated My new goal for ride hieght is to be dropped at 6" / 6", right now im at 2" / 3" I'm pretty sure it will swap over but I've never done anything like so I'm asking you guys. Will my current front 2" springs and shocks be reusable on the 79' suspension? To get the front down 6" I would like to keep the 2" spring but am thinking I would need to go with a 3", I would like to find some 3" spindles, or 3" lower control arms.. still researching options For the rear I am going to go with a C notch. I was looking at the coolride by ART but for $450 there has to be a less costly alternative. I will be at 2"/3" for a while, first things first I plan to get the new crossmember in and hook up the brakes ![]() Thanks for reading! Last edited by no_gas_65; 03-13-2009 at 12:29 AM. |
