Most of this discussion come up on suspension parts......and dammit, every aftermarket drop kit(shackels/brackets/ect) comes furnished with grade 8 hardware. Do you need grade 8 fasteners on the engine stand for overhaul? Probably not.....but the softer bolts can strip/ buggar streads easier. IMO, the grade 8's are worth the extra cash. You will also have guys argue that the 8's are more prown to snapping under tension/shear loads.....THATS BS! The 8's will handle much more loads on both tension & shear.......crazyL
