59 Apache, should I use a S-10 frame

People have told me it is easier to put the 59 Apache body on a new truck frame than to fix up the old one and adding disk brakes, new engine ect. I am not into welding up a new frame and I do not trust my welding to be patching a frame. Can I get a 1986 s-10 take the cab and box off, and a few spacers to the frame and drop a 59 Apache cab and box on it?
