1960 front suspension swap

Im planning on doing a front suspension swap on my '60 for a bag set-up, discs, and possibly power steering.
I have read on here about what year's will work as far as an "almost" direct bolt-in swap.

my question is, does it make any difference if the "new" suspension/core support is off of a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton?

any other advice/warning will be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance.
Chris
