Wiring Help!! Steering Column - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Can anyone tell me the function of each color wiring that comes from the horseshoe shaped connector.

There are 8 wires that come out of the connector of:

1. Black
2. Light Blue
3. Blue
4. Brown
5. Purple
6. Black/Yellow
7. Green
8. Black with white stripe

On the wiring diagrams, it doesn't say the exact specification of each. I just purchased a new column and it has the bar connector. I didn't want to purchase the adapter, so I am reterminated each wire.

Any help would be appreciated.
