steering wheel install help

Hi All,

I need some help installing a steering wheel (1970, 3/4 ton, no tilt). I took the old steering wheel off (looks like from a later model, whoever installed it had to cut the back of it off to get it to fit). With the steering wheel off, I have the turn signal cam. I have nothing else between the tun signal cam and the back of the steering wheel. Looking at the LMC catalog it looks like I need a few more parts (spring & plastic housing). Does anyone know the order of installation and if I will need any other parts? I did bolt the steering wheel on and it had about 1/2 inch of vertical play in it. Will installation of the remaining parts take this play out? The steering wheel I have is out of a mid 70's truck so maybe this is causing some of the play as well. I am not going to mess with the horn button stuff right now (I have the horn disconnected).

Thanks for any help.
