Angry 1949 3100. clutch issues - mice?

clutch worked ok last year. now started out slipping some, and the more i used it, the worse it got. now won't even move. mice got in it last winter. i was told that if they fill the clutch up with nesting stuff, it will get in the fingers and prevent the clutch from engaging.

so, is there a easy way to get at the clutch? what do i need to do, and how do i do it?
thanks
