Steering problems

OK my center link is sitting on my front cross member. and i think i have the wrong tie rod ends. my tie rods look the same the the grease fittings are both on the flat top of the rod end ------(o). i looked at my parts truck and the inner have the grease fitting in the end like this -----O-. mine are new but i think the parts store gave the wrong ones? also the inner and and outer are the same length? i am really concerned with the bar touching since my parts truck doesn't also the boar a small bend on the pass side. is this normal. it is a 68 with ece 2 1/2" drop spindles with 1 1/2" drop springs and 6" drop springs in the rear. the parts truck is a 71 i believe all stock.
