Mid/Late 60's Corvette Steering Wheel, Any Pics??
my new 15" Grant Classic walnut steering wheel is just too small for my liking. since I have no power steering and wider tires, turning the ol' girl is a bit of a pain. I guess I miss my old oem wheel that I assume is approximately 17" diameter.
anyway, I was looking at a couple of trucks on here a few months back that had mid to late 60's Corvette steering wheels in them. I think the diameter is 17" to 18" and the dish is shorter. these wheels are a 3 spoke design with either simulated wood or plastic grips and look perfect in our model trucks! kind of looks like the Grant wheel in my truck now, but with a larger diameter and shorter dish. so is anyone running one of these wheels? any difficulties in mounting them on an oem column? would you post a pic? side note: I love powell72's mid 60's Impala wheel too...... decisions, decisions. side note no# 2: anyone want to buy a new steering wheel?!
