power steering box

on my 84 Suburban, the steering box is leaking. Most people that I talk to are saying that replacing the seals is just a temporary fix and rebuilding them is a serious pain. I've noticed that it's quite common with large tires for the steering boxes to start leaking after a while.

My question is if I get a new one, will it only last a year or two? I've got 33x12.50's. If so, is there an aftermarket one that will take the abuse of the larger tires?

All suggestions appreciated,

Dave
