Blazer Body Questions

I'm a new blazer guy; bought a '72 2wd a week ago with a clean 4wd tub. The 4wd isn't on a frame, and I'm replacing a slightly rusty right rocker and the lefty as well(exploratory). The doors are not fitted well and I've got the body on a dolly; I want to at least metal work it before it goes on the frame. How much can/will the a-pillar relax without the front clip on? I see when I close the 2wd doors that they move the w/s post as the roof has 3 bolts holding it to the rustiest tub ever, so I'm not very confident in measurements I can take. Do I just square the doors up to the quarters and body lines and let 'er fly? Anybody?
