Sloppy rear end?
Just pulled the rear wheels today to check and adjust the brakes. I noticed about 2" of rotational slop between the 2 rear wheels. I can't seem to remember so much play between the two axles. Could the gears in the differential be on their way out? Something I should be worrying about or is this normal to a degree? Its likely the cause of the slight "clunk" I hear when shifting into reverse as well.
I'm planning on swapping my rear axles (6-lug) for some 5-lug axles sometime this spring. Think I should just get a whole different rear end? Maybe change from 3.07 gearing to something a bit heavier as well.
