Center Support Bearing?

Can anyone identify this Center Support Bearing? Why is it different from the replacement ones in the catalogs? I have taken off the aluminum bracket that goes around it. It looks like some body rigged it on there. If it doesn't belong then what should be there instead? This picture was taken a while ago and I have since blasted and painted the frame and suspension installed. I'm going through all my pictures to finalize the underneath so that it can get to paint.
