454/400 208 or 205 t-case?

Right now I'm running a 454 with 465 tranny-205 case with centerforce dual clutch. I have started having some fun playing with a pulling group here and have made some success on my first three pulls, a 3rd,2ed and a 1st.
Question is I have a 400 automatic with a 208 slip spline out of a CUCV. I would like to put that in but don't know if I shoud use the 208 case or make the swap to the 205. I have 3 205s, 2-4 speed and 1-350 auto, The 208 setup is ready to go, just add a quality shift kit and install the set-up. (drive shaft work and the like) If I swap to the 205 T-case I need the proper 205/ 400 spline set-up, I'll need to locate all that stuf. Is it worth the trouble of swapping out to the 205, I think so, or shoud I go with the ready to go 208. How do you think the 208 will hold? I don,t like the slip spline on the 208 and hear that I COULD swap in a yoke, dodge or Ford, just don't know.
This is a short bed so drive angle to the rear would be a question.
14bolt rear D60 front, 456 gears.
Any thoughts?

thanks, Mudmizer
