New brakes for the '60
I am rebuilding the brakes on my Jimmy because I knew the left front wheel wasn't working. Turns out somone at some point installed an inner hub seal (and destroyed it while doing so) that leaked onto all the brake components for the left front drum. So I ordered new wheel cylinders and pads and a new master cylinder.
Today I was only able to get the new pads on, but look at what happened when I tried to replace the wheel cylinders! Brother Trucks completely sent me the wrong cylinders! So, I ended up getting a rebuild kit from NAPA and a cylinder hone to rebuild the originals. The top wheel cylinder in the pic is the rebuilt original, and the bottom is what Brother's Trucks list as a front wheel cylinder for a '60 GMC. I don't think so. Also, here is a pic from the car show this weekend...
