Want to test fire an LT1

Really need some advice & help from the LT1 swappers out there. I've got an LT1/T56 ('96 Camaro SS) that has been sitting long enough that I'd like to test fire & run before committing to a swap. All parts were included when I got this a few years ago (alt, ps, ac, maf, harness, puter, all sensors on motor & trans) - so I'm hoping this shouldn't be too tough.

What's the least (cheapest) I can get away with to run this until warmup?

- Radiator & hoses
- Fans
- Fuel tank, pump & lines
- Battery & ign switch
- Stand to run on
- Harness - can I hookup power, ign & fans only? (besides motor & maf)
- VATS - how can I work around this?
- General advice on firing a motor that's been sitting

OR, is this even a good idea?? Please LMK your opinions. TIA.
