Smile Burlap?

Has anyone used burlap before for a carpet or headliner?.

I was working on a Nissan a month or so ago... (87 nissan 300 zx... A close freind is putting in a 355 that he pulled from his nova when totaled. nifty little car) Anyway we were cleaning up the engine bay... welding up un-necessary wholes.... Had a welding blanket on the windshield... thought about doing carpet out of that... then a teacher of mine said use burlap instead cheaper then buying new welding blankets and cutting them up.

So has anyone ever use burlap? If so any pics?
