silly questions?

I have replaced the outer floor pans in my 64 chevy. There are drain holes? in the new pans. Are there plugs out there for these or am I going to have to fill them?
Also, when looking from the inside of truck down into the cab corner I can still see the ground even after replacing pans, corners, rockers, etc... I'm not real crazy about the elements having such easy access into the cab. Is there a trick to closing this in or is it supposed to have a gap there?
