Coil drop with a six cylinder

New to the forum, this place is great! I'm looking to coil drop the front (and rear) of my '67 C10 short-step. I'm keeping the 250/6. I'm assuming that the commercially available drop coils are intended for V8's. What is the weight difference between a 6/8? If a coil has an advertised drop of 2", will I get 2" with the six? Or maybe put in a 3" drop coil to get 2"? Opinions?
