Heater valve on inner fender.. can I eliminate it?

I'm missing most of my AC stuff. In time I'll be going the AC delete route and cleaning up my firewall. So, I'm not planning on putting AC back in my truck (if I decide to later there's always Vintage Air). I believe after reading this:
