Axle swap?

Alright guys, so I have an 86 K10, running 33's with stock 3.08 gear ratio and being pushed by the stock 305/new 700r4. A buddy of mine is getting rid of his half tons out of his 86 blazer (got himself a 14 bolt ) and is willing to sell them to me for around $500. They're not too old on the rebuild and have 4.56s with Detroit lockers. I'm not the most knowledgeable on all this and would really appreciate any help. Budgets an issue for me so I'm wondering how this will drive and if Ill suck down too much gas. I'm mostly country roads but do the occasional highway cruising and offroading. I plan on going to 35s when Ive saved up for them, but if anyone could tell me how this and my future set up would be I'd be very appreciative
