Project Wild 72
Don't let the name fool you, this will be a tame rebuild compared to some of the great builds I’ve seen on this site. My goal with this project is really just to learn and acquire tools along the way by doing it myself. I'll be rebuilding the C10 into a daily driver and will do some light modding along the way. I'll be posting a running total of the $$ at the end of each post as i spend more money.
Little about the truck - 1972 C10 LWB 400 SBC 400TH 12 Bolt rear Paid $1500 3 previous owners - Guy i purchased the truck from owned it for about 15 years Was able to drive the truck home, but not it wasn't a daily driver. Easy to diagnose the problems via the three puddles left under the truck after being parked overnight. Power steering fluid, engine oil, and transmission fluid. About me - 31 year old software tech 1st rebuild ever! Married 4 years and we just found out we're having a baby in November. The information I’ve gotten from this site has been great! I'm a newbie trying to gain half the skills most guys on this site have. I'm open to criticism and more open to advice, so don't be shy with the posts. Rebuild tally: $1500 - initial purchase.
