Taking 67-68 to disc and dropped spindles

When I started my build, I left on the "almost able to stop" drum setup on the front. I'm wanting to go disc in a few and get my drop out of my spindles instead of my JDM's with the 3" stepped spring pocket. There are some guys in my area that are parting out some truck cheap. Any reason why I couldn't get some 71-72 upper and lower A arms and put them on my '68??? Seems like all the dropped disc spindles are made for trucks already running disc.
