Front lowering springs

My Truck has been dropped 2" in front by the P/O the cheap way, by torching the springs and it's pretty uneven 29 D/S and 30 P/S....it rides bad too. So I'm about ready to do a front end rebuild but the last thing I have to buy is two new front springs.....Here is the question, can I buy and fit just the 2" drop springs on there own to give me the same ride height I have now (albeit and even one), or would I need to buy shorter front shocks as well?

In short, whats the lowest you can go in front with drop springs before you need to change the shocks??
Immm!!! why didn't I say that in the beginning?
