Bought New Truck-85 C35 Crew Cab Dually
Well I finally have another truck, just bought it this afternoon. 85 crew cab dually with a large steel welder's flat deck. 350 with a 4 speed transmission, dual tanks. Truck runs and drives OK, engine isn't too bad, but needs manifold work (seller included replacement manifolds).
I know, I know, you need pics lol. I will try and get some as soon as I retrieve the truck. It's going to be a pain, I can't trailer it cuz it won't fit on my car trailer, and I can't get a temporary permit to drive it home, due to the fact the truck is currently unplated and labelled "unfit" for the road as it hasn't been safetied lately. Looks like I'm going to be towin it home with a tractor. Heck at this point I can't even get the ownership switched over into my name, since it is more than 20 years old I have to get an appraisal done on it to verify the value so the MTO can charge me taxes on it. Ahhh the joys of dealing with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation! My plans for the truck are to resell it, as I really have no use for a crew cab dually, or maybe trade it for a 3/4 ton standard cab. If neither of those options work out I'll keep it, fiddle with it, and see if I can't get it safetied and on the road to tow my car trailer.
