Frame coating while in the mockup stage

I am getting ready the start the frame for my Blazer project. I plan to convert a 4X4 chassis to 2wd. I am going with a Dropmember C4 static drop (coilover) suspension in the front and a triangulated 4 link in the rear with c notch and coilovers. So, I will need to do alot of welding on the frame. For now, I am going to have to do most of this work outside. The plan is to sandblast before any work starts. What should I coat the chassis with while I'm in this process? I plan to take my time, so it could be in mockup for 6 month to a year (and maybe longer if life happens). After the mockup is done, I will go to a chassis paint or POR15. I don't mind having to blast again after mockup as I have my own blasting setup.

Chad
