Has anyone run into this problem

I swapped my original 350 with one from a '92 chevy truck and now it sits back too far. The distributor is touching the firewall and the valve covers are only 1/2" or so away. I am going to move everything up 2 inches, I have converted to electric fans so I have no issues with clearance. I just didn't know if this is something anybody else has run into?
