The 9-5. The Daily Grind.

I guess to get to know everyone a little better. At this time I am serving a 3 year apprenticeship to be a Diesel Mechanic for Union Pacific RailRoad. This is the kind of stuff I get to work on.





This is what you see when you remove the turbo, cam gears (top), Idler gear (center).

This is the turbo about 4' tall, pushin 4 times atmospherical preasure at full load, 18,000 rpm at full load.

This is a GE (General Electric power assembly) about 700 cubic inch per assembly x 16 cylinders.

And this is what the brake eqiupment looks like, tons of valves.
