Lightbulb Just Starting Out and Need help.

Right now my 68 C20 is just an rusty old farm truck and I plan on changing the gas tank and putting all new stainless steel fuel lines on it.

1. I have seen some sort of gastank sending unit tool. Is this even needed or it there a trick or certain way to install the sending unit?

2. How do I wire the sending unit to the Gas guage?

3. And do any of you guys out there have any kind of killer exhaust setup for an 6 banger (I was thinking headers and strait pipe w/ no muffler all the way back lol)

4. And also do any of you guy have any ideas on which direction to take this truck in?? (PICS BELOW)
