Post Suspension parts interchange question

I wanted to run the later model (73-81 suburban) type a-arms.. The ones with actual bushings vice the metal shaft in my 66 would it be possible to swap the a-arm without swaping the whole k-member.. Just looking at the lmc catalog they look similar.. I would just have to swap the a-arm assembly.

I could see the advantage of the bushings.. I dont know if any of you have tried it vice swapping the whole k-member.

Thanks
