MAKE your truck surface rust?

ok,now this is going to sound quite a bit weird.
im rat rodding my 1967 lwb 1/2ton.

it has been gone over with some uglyy red primer, not a good job at all its streaked everywhere and looks like immature kids got to it and tried it or soemthing.

im trying to get a natural surface rust look.
before this truck was painted,i knew it was white with a ton of surface rust, exactly what i need now.
once i get rust yea il do a clear coat or whatever to make it not rust anymore.

uhm

how do i get all this red primer off?
and once off,get it to evenly get hints of surface rust.?
i hate it
