Dual Tanks - Fit a suburban with running boards?

I have a 31 gallon tank in my suburban now but I want a little more range. I know that they had 40 gallon and I see them sometimes but can I just put a dual tank set up from a trunk into the suburban (it has running boards).

I want one for just the passenger side and will just run an electric pump from it to my primary tank (make a t-connector hose for the filler tube and splice it into that, not the actually tank) in the rear for quick transfer if I need the extra range for a long drive. I only ask because I see these dual set-up for 50 bucks all the time, and I don't think it would be too hard to hook it up - just wanted to see if it would fit.
