How to remove "Custom C10" logos?

I mean, I know how they are attached, but how do I get to the nuts on the back without tearing the whole truck apart?

I want to paint my center section of my truck white, and this is the last thing I need to get out of the way. Seems like every way I approach these logos I run into a roadblock. Too far up to reach from the bottom, too much stuff in the way under the hood to get at from the inside, and the metal that surrounds the vents is in the way if I try to get at them through the door jamb.

Any other suggestions? I thought about loosening up the inner fender next, but it doesn't look like it would move out of the way enough to do any good.

It's a 72, by the way.
