Pinion Angle
Some of you know that I am converting my C20 to a C10, I am also changing from leaf suspension to coil spring with the standard "truck arms". I have been prepping a Lincoln 9" rear end to fit the truck by grinding off all the old bracketry. Now I am ready to weld on the new two link brackets.
When a truck is lowered that already has a two link suspension the pinion angle changes just slightly. Do you think it would be beneficial to weld the two link bracket on so that the pinion angle is that of a stock truck or should I change it so that aims straight at the tranny. With a four inch drop the diff is almost right in line with the tranny. Not sure if it makes a huge difference or not but I don't want to wear anything out prematurely
