Sad day - starting the part out of my trucks

Well I started to part out my 81 3/4 and my 87 6500. Guy wanted the mirrors off the 87, so they came off, gonna disassemble it and use the frame and cab on other projects.

Pulled the 81 out of the weeds, needed ash tray (never had ashes in it - no one smoked in this truck!) and some dash screws for my 87 DD so started stripping it. Kind of feel bad - this was my childhood farm truck, 2500 250/3OTT 14bolt semi-floater w/3.43 gov-lock. 57,000 miles, on its second engine, 3rd clutch, 2nd round of brakes. Manual steering, power brakes, no other options. But it hasn't run right in 10 years, hasn't run period in 5, the only good panel is the LF fender (dropped hay on the roof and hood when it was 3 days old). The bees ate the dash and the mice ate the bees and the seat, and the sh** ate the rockers and the bed..

Sad days but the parts will help the rest of my fleet live.
