Distributor HELP!

I am posting this for Orence1 (Larry Royce) since he is having problems with his account and it won't let him post.

When attempting to install my MSD Pro Billett distributor yesterday I discovered that the diameter of the billett body is smaller than the diameter of the hole in my Edelbrock Performer manifold. Even with the hold down clamp tightened up, the distributor can be wiggled from side to side. It appears to be seated as far down as it will go. When I turn the motor with a wrench on the crank bolt the distributor turns so the gears are engaging. I appears that some sort of bushing is needed. Anybody have any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Larry

Note by stllookn: The motor is a professionaly built big block...396 or 400.
