Stovebolt six identification

Gentlemen,

My Chev 1/2 ton pickup looks like it has a rebuilt engine installed. The nameplate says Forburg 235. I'm not sure it is really a 235 since the sheet metal coverplate on the sparkplug side extends to the top of the head, which I thought was only done on the 216s.

My reason for wanting to pin down the engine type is that I need to replace the failed electric fuel pump with a mechanical and the 216 and the real 235 have different pump part numbers.

can anyone set me straight on this?

Thanks, Bill
