Heater core problem?

After I shut the truck off today I noticed a little bit of water under the heater core. I did run the a/c today, and just got it working again two weeks ago, so i'm not used to where from and how much the a/c drips. Is it normal to get a little water from under the big box on the firewall? I know a/c does normally drip. I'm questioning wether I should carry around some vice grips and a jug of water (will anyway)
